No Shock: Nebraska Volleyball Handily Sweeps Wichita State
Huskers Continue Dominant Start to Season with 3-0 Victory
Lincoln, Neb. - The No. 4 Nebraska volleyball team continued its dominant start to the season with a 3-0 sweep of Wichita State on Tuesday night at the Devaney Center.
The Huskers (5-0) won by scores of 25-12, 25-15, and 25-18 to improve to 5-0 on the season. Wichita State (1-4) has now lost four straight matches.
Nebraska was led by Madi Kubik's 13 kills, while Ally Batenhorst added 11 kills and Lexi Rodriguez had 10 kills. Lauren Stivrins also had a strong night with nine kills and five blocks.
Wichita State was led by Sophia Rohling's nine kills, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Huskers' balanced attack.
Nebraska hit .385 as a team, while Wichita State hit just .133. The Huskers also had a 9-3 advantage in blocks.
The Huskers will be back in action on Friday when they host No. 10 Creighton at the Devaney Center.
