Bayern Munich Reach Quarter-Finals After 2-0 Win Over PSG
German Giants Dominate Second Leg To Advance in Champions League
Paris Saint-Germain Fall Short in Lisbon Clash
Bayern Munich have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League after a 2-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their Round of 16 tie in Lisbon.
The German giants went into the match with a 1-0 lead from the first leg and were always in control against a PSG side that looked out of sorts for much of the encounter.
Serge Gnabry opened the scoring for Bayern in the 17th minute, before Robert Lewandowski doubled their lead just before the hour mark. PSG failed to muster a serious response and were unable to create any clear-cut chances in the second half.
The result means that Bayern have now reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the 10th time in the last 11 seasons. PSG, meanwhile, will be left to rue a missed opportunity to finally win the trophy they have been chasing for so long.
